The walk to the Old Gaol which is in Upper Bryn Coch will be on surfaced paths with no stiles and no steep hills, and will last between an hour and an hour and a half. You will hear about the building of the Gaol which took place at the same time as Daniel Owen was setting up his own shop in New street, about the prison’s closure some eight years later and its subsequent interesting history.
