Guided walk around Mold for Welsh Learners and Speakers
A gentle stroll with plenty of time to socialise on the way, starting at Daniel Owen’s grave where Deputy Mayor of Mold, Cllr. Haydn Jones, will lay a wreath of flowers, past places associated with events in the author’s life, and finishing at Maesydre at the memorial which marks his birthplace. Kevin Matthias will talk, amongst other things, about Daniel Owen’s family, his upbringing in circumstances of poverty and tragedy, and his development as a businessman, local politician and Wales’ foremost novelist. This event is part of Shwmae Su’mae day. To learn more visit http://www.shwmae.cymru
