Wreath laying at Daniel Owen’s grave

The Festival has revived the tradition of laying a wreath at Daniel Owen’s grave in Mold public cemetery. This was started by the headmaster of Mold’s Daniel Owen school T Ceiriog Williams in the 1950s. The school later merged with the Alun High School.

Since the Festival began in 2010 this tradition has been revived and Daniel Owen’s grave has been renovated and the kerbstones replaced by kind donation of Blackwell’s the monumental masons.
