A walk: ‘Work and Worship’: Pantymwyn and Gwernaffield
Location: Meet at the Crown Inn, Pantymwyn CH7 5EH
Guided four mile walk and talk around the Non-Conformist Chapels in the Pantymwyn and Gwernaffield area and the workplaces of the people they served, with Kevin Matthias, chairman of the Daniel Owen Festival and Neville Howell, Trustee of the Friends of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley and volunteer walk leader for Walkabout Flintshire.
The chapels were built to serve the population boosted by the booming mining and quarrying industries of the 19th century. There are a few stiles, some gentle slopes and the possibility of farm animals.
A joint walk with the Friends of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley. An English language event.
Meet at the Crown Inn car park, Pantymwyn CH7 5EH.
